Teaching in the USA, 2025 is a lament from a daughter, sister, and friend of American teachers. On display are the effects of the current political climate on the average teacher’s life, both in and out of the classroom. With a desire to give voice to the teachers around her who have left their careers for their own safety and health and financial stability, KJ has used alcohol ink, pen, paper, and a simmering rage to reframe the childhood wonder she once felt exploring her mother’s elementary school classroom.
